Shocks please help
So I took my car in told them to check my shock they said al 4 are leaking so have extended warranty they are not wanting to replace with oem they wanna go after market (wtf) yes I know so tell me if I'm wrong I have a 2012 zl1 and the guy at the dealer is telling me only the front came with magnetic not the back...... this sound like bs to me .... does anyone know if 2012s only have magnetic shocks in the front not back

Also, if they replace with a non mag ride shock, the car throw a code that will limit the speed of the car to 85mph. Found that out on a track day after switching to coilovers.

What extended warranty do you have that covers the shocks?

They are expensive for sure. If you need a set we can get you a better deal then the dealer on a set of 4 oem shocks.

Remember if you buy OEM verify the dealer you purchase from is covered under Delco's limited lifetime replacement as everyone isn't and those that aren't cant do a return claim. I have replace the rears twice under this warranty. |
