Yep all the talk here has been proven wrong. Mod and get denied. End of story. MMA means absolutely nothing.

1. By law, GM does NOT have the final word in warranty disputes. 2. GM cannot legally deny the warranty of a fuel pump failure based on a catch can being installed. 3. Implied warranties take over where written (Express) warranties fail. There are a myriad of laws to protect the consumer from bogus warranty denials. I just posted a few on the petition thread. Check them out.

You just go ahead and believe what daddy GM tells you then. Or back up your claim.
JK, no I'm not wrong. Warranties, both Express (written) and Implied (State Law) give you very specific rights. Doesn't take a genius to see that GM is screwing OP, as it would not take a court of law long to see that either. I did research the law, and particularly Texas law. Everything I stated above is true. Texas has some of the best consumer protection laws in the Country.

This is the FIRST case in the History of our catchcans and there are 10's of thousands of users over the years, and GM dealers that sell and install these. And as Mr.Stacey correctly points out, this is a violation of Federal law and the OP made the choice to not pursue it. There are several law firms that specialize in Magnasun/Moss act cases, and this would be an easy one as it is impossible to cause oil pump failure from a proper system. Now a breathered tank, or a can that defeats any of the functions the PCV system performs would be a legitimate reason, but not any of the Elite cans. All Elite systems meet emissions compliance and have NO negative effects on any part of the engine, only benefits.
This is a case of a tech at the dealer screwing up by driving the OP's car with no oil pressure and placing the blame elsewhere. This is also a great case of what dealers to NOT do business with that would cause a customer such stress and cost. There are tons of good dealers that would never treat a customer in such a way. Patronize those, and spread the word on the "bad" ones. |

How many people on this forum know exactly what happened between OP and GM? I don't understand all the hooplah when as far as I understand it, the answer is one -OP.
