SCT X4 Tune Questions

Hi Guys,

I have acquired a brand new SCT X4 (which was supplied by Janetty Racing with a Blower kit) from a friend as he already had one.

I am interested in a tune from either Steve or Ted on here at some point, still doing reading on the subject.

I have downloaded my stock tune to the unit and then to my PC, and was interested to just open the files to read and maybe compare against another tune just to see if mine is stock.

My car was imported to the UK from Florida with a CAI, Flowmaster axle back and lowered, but I just wondered it the original owner had put a tune in it.

Other L99 owners here tell me they can hear when DOD kicks in and out, but I cannot tell or hear anything on mine, which made me wonder if it had been tuned out

I have no intention of attempting to modify myself, as I already realise this is something for those who know what their doing, but I cannot find any way to just open and read .SUL and ,BEF files

John

To get the tune file off the device you will need Software called SCT Device Updater software. https://www.sctflash.com/support and download the software for FREE. Install this in your home or laptop computer before you connect the device to your computer.

The file can be open if you have excel on your PC in which you can review logged files. You need to setup what data you want to review or see, (PID’s). Contact Jeanetty they can provide you full instructions on the process of data logging.

I don't think your going to be able to read those files or compare your tune to a stock tune. The tune you loaded is so you can return the car to stock if you want or need to,after the modified tune was put in the car. Not for comparing. Where are you getting the stock tune to compare too? If your using the handheld that was shipped with the blower, it was wiped clean and had the blower tune loaded on it. A sct 7416 GM camaro handheld comes with ability to tune and selections for different parameters . I personally use HPTuners and it has perimeters for comparing.
