Brakes

When I start out from a stop and slowly let off my brakes they make a weird noise almost like grinding. My V6 didn't make that sound is it the Brembos?

Yep, I've stopped easing off them and I just wait a half second longer and let go completely and quickly.

Indeed, high performance does mean that if you do not use them in a high performance manner, you may suffer a high pitch squeel/grind/whachamacallit. Applying your breaks more heavily when stopping will help eliminate this.

The only true solution is to get ceramic breaks which are more expensive, but overall are better break pads. I'm letting my first pair wear out... but my next set will be ceramic.

The Brembos are going to throw a lot more break dust than the standard Camaro braking system. This is normal and of course another characteristic of the Brembo high performance brakes.

I had a lot of brake dust on my V6, it was driving my nuts.

Get some of the stuff in the below link, you'll have virtually no dust on your wheels and what is there will not stick on and easily dust/blow off. I put 2 thin coats on 2 months ago and it's still going strong. Keeps your wheels clean and virtually dust free, enen through rain.

This is one of the best car (cleaning) products I have ever used. Just take a look at the reviews, you'll see the postive write up's. My review is from 9/24.
