Definitely strange they would go backwards with that design. I'm sure they will have to start adding this to the new Recaros.

Chevrolet Customer Care
Not trying to jack the thread just trying to show this has happened in the past because dealer thinks its normal wear and tear.

Hi Chevrolet Customer Car

I am having the same issue as Cool1LE. The seatbeat is burning my factory recaros. Took the car to the dealership today and they told me to go pound sand. If there isn't a hole they don't do anything. Bring it back when there is a hole and we will replace it. Exact words. So when you say we are happy to help what do you mean? You want me to send you a pick of it doing it by my seatbelt or the area of the left front seat where it is peeling off? Please let me know. Look forward to hearing from you.

Here some pix. Seems to just flake off. The seat is a year old with 3700 miles in it. The dealer tells me they won't do anything until there is a hole and than added they would have to take the seat and shipped it to GM for approval. When I said ok he backed off. Plus claimed I added the seats after I bought the car until I offered to show him the sticker from the window and they were an option. My take is for the amount of money they charge they should be a better quality and last a weeee bit longer.

No way!!!.... go to another dealer if you have to (I've notice a lot of posts where some people have no issues getting replaced and others do, it must be the managers call which is BS!) Mine has been replaced for over a year and half - it was all under warranty.

Totally agree dude. All of a sudden there wasn't one boss at the dealership. I'm going to try one about 60 miles outside of Chicago. Guys at the place where I went were useless. They saw absolutely nothing wrong with the seat.
