Air bag warning after racing seat install?
So I installed a set of Race Tech Seats in my z28. Now dealing with the annoying air bag error message. Has anyone found a way to address this? Thank you!

I think you just measure the resistance of the airbag and put that value resistor where the plug is!

I can't find the forum anymore, but lucky for us I wrote down the part numbers for everything needed to keep everything running as smooth as possible for our cars.
Position Sensor $140 - PN 94706446 Power Seat Harness Driver $60 - PN 22752487 Power Seat Harness Passenger $60 - PN 22752485 Occupant Sensor $280 - PN 20972507 Airbag Simulator Kit $29 All these items will ensure the airbags deploy properly. If you changed your passenger seat, it will now sense if there's a passenger and deploys the airbags for their safety. As for the driver airbags it needs to know how close the driver is to the airbag to ensure the airbag deploys fast enough but not with excess force that'll cause more damage to the driver. |
