Sounds similar to the 458 GTE from a few years ago. Can't hear turbos mid corner, so I bet it's a small displacement NA V8, possibly flat plane crank.

I think it sounds awesome.

Wonder if its the 4.2L twin turbo (or a derivative of it) made for the CT6 Vsport.

That would be my guess.

I don't see GM going with a FPC set up. I would be very shocked if they did

Problem is you cant hear any turbos in the video. The car (to meet FIA/ACO regs for GTE/GTLM) needs to run an engine that will be offered for customers (limited in displacement). The only car that comes to mind which raced with a different motor than what customers could buy is the Z4 GTE. BMW had to submit a waiver to run the V8.

Maybe it isn't FPC, but that would mean the engine is either the updated LT1 (limited to 5.5L) or the NA version of the new 5.5L DOHC V8

It doesn’t sound like a V8 to me at all. It may be a version of the LF4.

As I said earlier, sounds closest to me to the Ford GT. A high strung turbo V6. Next guess would be a FPC V8, but it doesn't sound quite like that to me either. Definitely not a traditional V8, even one that may rev higher than usual. If it is a V8, it must be a very high revving small displacement V8.

I'm also reading this thing is NOT going to be revealed at the Detroit auto show in January. We will have to wait longer.

To play devils advocate, all news is reporting "Chevrolet" is not revealing anything at the Detroit auto show.

Technically not lying if Corvette spun into its own brand, no longer under Chevy badge. Other option is this a Cadillac only, so "Chevrolet isnt revealing anything".

I’ve been seeing a lot of talk about it being New York. Seems GM doesn’t have anything car related to reveal at Detroit.

I heard that the Vette was originally supposed to be debuted at the NYIAS since that's where the 1953 debuted. Supposedly that has been delayed though.

If true it'll probably be at a standalone reveal.
