There are no plans to visit the assembly plant and it is generally off limits to the public.

You are in Chicago. That is one of the cities that does passport processing. I think if anyone could do it that quick, you could do it.

Anyways if anyone can please bring me, it will be greatly appreiciated!
I might be able to- just gotta wait to see if another friend of mine can go or not; as you know, multiple adult seating in the Camaro is slightly lacking... He won't know until Friday afternoon if he can get off work. I have to drive by Toronto to get to Oshawa anyways, so if my passenger seat is open, you're welcome to it. Mapquest and Google both route me north of the city- staying on the 401E. Where exactly are you. PM me the info.

My kids got theirs earlier this year, non-expedited in about 5 weeks. I would GUESS if you pay the expedite fee, probably 2-3 weeks.

WOW!

Thank you HyltonJ and everyone who is working to put this together! As a long time Camaro owner/devotee I would love to attend! I am in Montreal and have friends in Toronto and could totally make it to this event. In fact I will do all three to contribute some cash, write a letter to the Camaro mother hens that make our great cars and show up! I love bringing the kids and wife to car shows and have been doing so already for years! In fact, I SOLD my 1975 Camaro at the Granby car show a month ago and dropped that cash on a deposit for a 2010 2LT Summit WHT that I am EXPECTING for delivery in October!

Imagine how I felt when I read this post to see that this was happening so close to my delivery date! ~SIGH~ I will certainly not be able to bring my NEW Camaro, nor do I think the guy that bought my old Camaro would let me drive it to Toronto or anything.... but I just KNOW I would ensure to make this event if I could possibly take snaps or MY new car on the production line... now THAT would be a great story!

TTYS,
eB aka Camarodriver

Again, I sigh... I am with the other folks, if I could pick up my car there and then...I'd be there. You couldn't miss me, I would be in the pup tent on the left anxiously awaiting the gates to be unlocked!!! My first order placed 09 March is still at 1100 and going nowhere fast (dealer deceit). After much deliberation, I cancelled order, received deposit refund, and placed an order with a dealer with an open allocation...such a shame it requires that much education to buy a car and fulfill a dream. My car (NNHNSV) has a TPW of 14 Sep. If it's on Rodger's Chevrolet lot in time, count on me being there!
If not, my time will come...this is just a lesson in patience and trust.
After all that rambling, count me in a letter and some funds.
Also...Hylton could you PM me. I got an idea on a presentation on behalf of Camaro5, owners, enthusiasts, and Camaro dreamers for the Oshawa folks and GM...trust me it will be wicked cool!
This car gives me the same jitters and excitement of my first date...30 years ago. I think you all know what I mean....
