Im racing my camaro vs a mustang....
My girlfriends dad has a 2006 mustang v6 convertable and he is a mad ford fan and i have a 1999 camaro v6 t-tops and im a mad chevy fan. We can't see each other with out talking about for or chevys and going era by era of cars and comparing them and we have friendly arguments most are about camaros and mustangs in all eras, and finally we both wanted to settle our arguments by going to a street in the middle of nowhere and racing, all of my gf's family are ford fans and thye will be there so idon't wanna embarras my self or my camaro specialy to a mustang. ouch. anyways here are its specs mustang- convertable,automatic,2006, bone stock engine
camaro- t-tops, performance air filter, performance spark plugs, rp oil, automatic i think it has around 207-211 hp. tho the mustang is faster stock for stock but his is a convertable and is heavier and mine is t-tops which is lighter and mine has some upgrades. Can i pull off a win? |

I think it will be close, but you will pull out the win. The six in his Mustang is a god awful engine.

Drive safe, and please try to do it on the track. I know that there are abandoned roads everywhere, but sometimes there are reasons that the roads are abandoned.

Well i been hearing that the v6 mustang runs 1/4 mile way faster than a 4th gen camaro even on this site. no matter what im racing him, i will be carfull we are just running a 1/4 mile and the road is well paved and wide. If i remember the number i think it was 6-8 seconds faster is this true?

Well I know he's only got 210/240 hp/tq so you should be neck N neck since you have around 211 tq. I just don't know how much tq you have.

That convertible top is the reason you will win.
