Very lucky, most people [in my experience] who say they will pay cash hardly ever do.
To be fair though, that's a lucky get off for her at that price.

Great Experience

I investigated hundreds of accidents over my career in law enforcement. I have had to deal with post accident reports where someone has had a delayed response to an injury sustained during a minor accident. If this happens to you, do you think she will run over to the bank for more cash to give you? Even minor accidents should be documented to protect you against litigation.

This. The cops won't do anything to assist if there are no injuries.

OP,

Can you describe in detail the process/grits/materials/brands used, etc. on this repair?

I want to try to fix the gill area which is speckled white from all the rocks that have hit it. Its just surface damage, there are no dings/dents.

My car is black so it should not be a problem to color match. I'm just worried about how to blend the clear AND the durability of my approach. I have a general idea of what needs to happen but I would really appreciate any instructions or tips you may have.

I already purchased the following:
SEM color coat (Wa8555)
SprayMax 2k primer surfacer
SprayMax 2k glamour gloss clear
various grits of sand paper 180-to 2000
glazing putty (red bondo stuff)

You are right about people saying "oh, they reversed in to me" when they run in to the back of you.

The video shows a popular con over here, inventive anyway.

OP interesting story, and better that everything turned out good! You handle that situation very well, especially that your green big machine was involved. Due, you have some good repair skills. Well, lets see a full picture of green machine.

Good Luck

Nice blend job. Especially with that configuration.

Sweet Camaro as well!

Yes, and I had the paint shop come out and they have a machine that takes a photo of the paint and gives you the exact mix formula of the cars paint. Perfect match.

Wow very impressive. SGM is a tri coat paint. Did you spray three coats? You did a great job

Thank you, actually the paint came from Dupont, it's a basecoat /clearcoat and it's all mixed in one pint with there new system. Did 4 coats paint stepping it out with each coat and than clear coating 2 coats of Dupont urethane clear to seal the blend.
