Birmingham AL meetup on the 5th

Early birds that are coming up a day early that will be driving through Bham AL can meet up with me and a couple others to caravan on up. Its a lot more fun this way if your not already in a group or if your group wants to get bigger. I drove down to Baytown by myself last year and if it wasn't for me talking to axis on the phone it wouldn't have drove me crazy because there was no other 5th gens on the road even to getting off the off ramp which surprised me.
Anywho, just a heads up.

A caravan up I65 would be kool to do again. Made last years trip to Baytown with about 7-8 Camaros from the ECC and it was a fun 7 hr "cruise". It seems that Bowling Green is about another 7 hour trip so we are planning on being early birds this year. We are leaving on the 5th to be in BG by that afternoon, hopefully a few hours before dark.

We will be heading up on the 5th. We can link up with you guys in Huntsville, I think there will be a couple of people from the Rocket City Camaro Club going as well.

I drove down in a group to Indy the First time I went to FEST. I have to admit it was JUST a tad scary. Trying to keep everybody in a group gets to be a challenge. Speeds start to climb, then there is the WANT to race YA"S! Mustang's and anything else that thinks it can beat a CAMARO. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! I know It's along way off BUT this is SOMETHING to think about IF your going to Caravan. Peace Be with you from a Fellow Camaro5 member.

I fever saw that craziness on my first Fest with the group I cruised in with. I guess it depends on the groups and the leader who sets the pace and pit stops. It's easier when the cruise is pre planned with the gas stops and some dedicated other stops along the way. Knowing where all the large gas stations are located helps to get in and out a large caravan of Camaros needing fuel. Our camaro club likes to run a monthly "get together and cruise" and we have run 20-30 Camaros and yes, it's a challenge to keep the group together but as long as everybody knows where we are going we don't sweat it if we get separated a little.

I go to BG every year so I know were to stop and such. Also when I'm in a caravan I tell everyone else I'm setting the cruise on this number and it's easy to stay in a general group if everyone else does the same and everyone knows the planned stops.

I'm up for this caravan. Those of you with Alabama Camaros and/or Rocket City Camaro Club, this is Tony Lindeman. I live in Priceville (just South of the Tennessee River and the 65/565 junction), and there's not really a gas station with easy access at the 65/565 interchange, unless you want to risk your life getting across 20 East... I suggest Athens, 5 miles North of there, as the North Alabama rally point...
Bo, can't wait to see that beast. Love keeping up with it on facebook.
