Need a colder plug?

So I have the br7ef gapped at .026, what could be the reason behind this?

Yea. The injector is pretty much brand new. Maybe like 3k miles old.

Is it just the picture, or is the entire electrode missing?

Looks like you took out that cylinder. The electrode is probably stuck in a ring.

Compression test?

I'd be checking that cylinder. use a bore scope or pull the head. that other plug is covered in piston from the looks of it. chances are that hole is dead

Detonation, bad tune, or other fuel supply/tune related problem.

As others have said, very likely the remains of the plug have caused other damage, and good chance that piston is toast too.

You may or may not see the damage with a borescope.

You may be incredibly lucky and it is just the plug, but that would be very rare.

If you believed it was an injector issue, you could have them tested. What injectors are they ? Are they proper units or cheap stuff ? Were they properly flow matched set ?
