Absolutely! I got it aligned the day before the track, and had them zero the camber on all corners, and .24 Toe IN, .12 on each side, as per Justice Pete's recommendation. Thats what I run all the time. She puts all the rubber onto the ground when she squats, and theres no reason for any camber up front with the skinnies. Its dialed in, I just need more weight reduction and more power now

Awesome sauce! I been working on weight reduction since day 1. Got mine down to 3630 right now. Still able to trim that number down once I change the powered Recaros out and the rear crash bumper bar. Should hit my goal then of around or Close to 3500. Would help if I started a diet on the driver to lol. Long winter so I just may start getting a bit healthier. Been holding off from doing much mods now until I figure out to either put FI on my current 1LE and keep going or just start a track dedicated COPO replica build. Still thinking on it but going with the COPO replica build seems to make most sense since the 1LE is still far behind being a full drag car with auto trans etc. I left the season with a N/A PB of 12.4 at 115 with the 1LE on stock motor. Car has a little left in it if I can get the custom suspension dialed in some more but I’m happy with the times it’s hitting now on stock motor with only bolt on’s. 60’ not going great with the car still but mostly has to do with little launch time practices. If I go with a COPO replica build I’ll most likely do it with a basic gen5 SS and run the stock motor and trans till I get everything else done but would start with a cage and 4 link as first mods and weight reductions.

Your times are looking great too by the way.

Chris, curious you got any plans for work on the car this winter?

Thanks Jay. Sounds like you've got some gameplanning to work through like me. If you do a cage, then you can run the Kirkeys Economy Drag Seat. Weld wheels would be a good investment too. But with those, you'll want your 15" conversion complete beforehand. And thats a decision point in itself, to stay IRS or do a solid axle.

Hey Jeff. Its more or less some researching this winter, and some gathering of parts here and there. I got some BMR motor mounts with the solid aluminum upgrade, next I need to get a trans mount, and a NW 102mm throttle body. When I get this round of parts, I think I'll go down to GPI and have them put it all in and touch up the tune. Thats a short term plan. With an ongoing weight reduction and collection of suspension pieces. I am due for a spring change in 10-15k miles, so I have been contemplating how a solid roller would act with the Procharger that is planned. I'm curious about it.

Dyno chart/current standing

The LOD intake has no limits!

I am contemplating the next modification towards the end goal... the 102mm NW throttle body, but a spring change looms in the 5k mile distance, and with the solid heavy L99 valves and stock chain in there still, why not take the opportunity to upgrade to an Inconel valve, C5R chain, 3/8 pushrods, and Johnson lifters...

Nice how much faster is it now? What was the TQ number ? My heads are coming off as soon as these gears get broken in. So tell me what’s so special about the Johnson lifters? I can’t remember while typing this are you running E?

Torque was 408 ft/lbs @ 4900 RPM, which is what my converter flashes to (4800RPM). The best I could do this past season was an 11.079 @ 122.99mph. It picked up nicely, and is right at the cusp of 10s on stock heads, stock TB, and 93 octane, so no E85 on mine. But I think I have reached my limits with the current configuration, so its time to slowly collect parts for the next big push. The Johnson lifters are some of the most reliable on the market for turning high RPMs. They have several different options like short travels, slow leakdowns, axle oiling and tie bar style. I am going with whichever GPI recommends when the time comes.

What are you doing with the heads?

I talked a little wit GPI about the heads, they are porting them and we were talking about flycutting the piston so they can mill the heads to run flex fuel. They were talking really good gains with a setup like that so as soon as I can get the heads to them the sooner I can get back to chasing times lol

Yeah if you can get the CR the 11.5:1 or more I would expect you to pick up some decent HP on corn with the SS4 NFC

Alignment is key for bias ply tires. Can't use radial specs.
