Could someone in the Asheville, NC area check out a car for me?

I’m interested in potentially purchasing a car in Asheville, NC, which is some 450 miles away from me, so I was hoping someone in the area would be willing to take a look and let me know what they think. I'm hoping the dealership is on someone's route home from work or something so it's an easy 15 minute stop.

I’m not putting you on the spot with any kind of liability here; if I decide to move forward with the purchase I’ll hire a mechanic to go out and give me a full report. But hiring a mechanic is expensive and I’d rather know that the car doesn’t have any serious, obvious issues before spending the money on that. Besides that, I think I’d trust someone here more than a mechanic I’ve never met when it comes to general paint and interior quality.

So here are the things I’m most concerned about at this point:

• General paint quality (shine, blemishes, scratches)
• Paint matching between stock and aftermarket parts
• Damage or blemishes on the interior or the convertible top
• Obvious mechanical issues
• Are the tires actually new? (the ad says they are)
• Any mods that have been done (dealerships always seem to tell me cars are stock even when I can see from photos that they aren’t)
• Any other obvious issues (like the doors not being aligned)

If you're willing to do this please let me know before you go. I'd like to ask the dealership to clean the car up so it's not just covered in dirt and snow. Also, I'd like you to tell them you're acting as my agent so they don't think they have another interested party, which weakens my negotiating power.
