I have a harley frame around mine right now, I have been considering removing it however. Maybe when my personalized plates comes in I will do that. I check the mail everyday hoping the new plate will arrive but have been dissapointed for what seems like months now. I guess a watched pot never boils.

I specifically asked my dealer not to put any stickers on my car and that I'd take the license plate holder and no front plate. They listened exactly, and gave me the best price I could find. So I don't mind advertising for them. I'd rather have people go to the dealer advertised on my plate rather than some other BBB rated dealer with an F rating in my area, which some have believe it or not.

And for the record GA is another state that will pull you over for barely covering sticker or letters on license plate. Its illegal but its not strictly enforced. Therefore if a cop wants to pull you over bc you "might be suspicious" then he /she has a good excuse to pull you over. Last edited by PLuche; 12-04-2011 at 03:16 PM. |

When I bought my other car, i was mega pissed, We picked one out, then went inside to finalize the paperwork, while they washed and cleaned it. about 40 minutes later they hand us the car..and It had a huge dealer sticker on one side just above the taillight, and a badge on the other, and not to mention the license plate frame. As soon as I got home I ripped off the sticker and badge. I left the frame out of laziness.
When I bought the Camaro, I had a great time at the dealership, they weren't pushy, were very patient and helpful while we threw some numbers back and forth. They added a few freebees and made It a great buying experience, but then again I was buying a camaro, lol so anything they could have done I would have thought was awesome.. Im going on to my third week with the car, Ill leave the frame on a few more. |

I don't have a frame at all either. It's not a picture, its a tag, doesn't need a frame. I think it looks cleaner without. Why have a black frame or something to draw attention to some legal requirement? I don't advertise for dealers either. I did the Chevy survey for them as requested, that is good enough.

I can't believe people leave on the Dealer Frame and/or Decals. My first mod was to replace the dealer frame with a chrome Camaro RS frame. They refused to give me the employee discount even though I was prequalified by GM via my mother-in-law.

I really liked my dealership (and salesperson-- Eric @ Classic Chevrolet). And before my car came in, I specifically asked him not to put a badge on it. He didn't. I have no problem telling people where I got my car-- maybe they can get the same awesome experience that I did. I don't get why this is such a BFD to some folks.
