SS or 1LE for a daily driver
If you're never going to autocross is it still worth getting the 1LE option?

1LE... It's just an SS but better. Unless you want an auto, frankly im not sure who would buy this car without this option.

Personal preference. Many of the components on the 1LE were on my list of mods anyway, so getting a 1LE is actuallly cheaper.

1LE would have been my DD but if I wanted to autocross, I could also. I had actually planned to do that at CF4.

I have a 1LE on order and it will be my daily driver, currently have a '11 2SS. The transmission, rear-end and rims/tires are completely worth it - even if I don't track it (for a while). The suspension bits and Alcantra steering wheel/shifter are gravy. Some reviews have stated that the ride is stiffer - well, that's par for the course. They also say that the 1LE option is for the 1-2% who want to race it - honestly I don't agree with this. For $3500 you get alot of goodies for your money that you would prolly spend anyways once the mod-bug hits Anyone who orders a SS should seriously consider this package -

If I were in the market for an SS it would without a doubt be a 1LE.

Better transmission (comes with cooler) and short throw shifter, better half shafts, better fuel pump and additional pick ups, better final drive gearing, better wheels and tires, better end links and wheel bearings, better front and rear stabilizer bars, front splitter and rear spoiler designed to produce down force, better steering wheel. Sure I am forgetting something The 1LE is also a half second faster to 60 and in the quarter. For 3500 dollars?! Best performance deal ever!! I like the ride quality, the improved damping absorbs the bumps without transmitting them through the body too much. The FE6 is a better ride than my 2011. Congratz on the new ride!! |

Thanks for the answers and I agree with most, if not all of your points. $3500 is a bargain for what you get.
