speed shift points for 1LE

What are the speed (or rpm) shift points for city/suburb driving? I've been shifting @ 2k rpm and find myself in 6th by the time I hit 45mph and the engine is turning at about 1300 rpm iirc but I don't hear the engine lugging. My goal isn't to maximize fuel economy, but I don't want to stay in any one gear longer than needed nor do I want to harm the engine.

I referred to the owner's manual (page 9-32, I think) and it's the first one I read that doesn't list recommended shift points.

Thanks in advance!

It's what ever you want, and how much fun you want to have while driving, but i know the car doesn't want to be shifted at 2K.When there isn't any traffic(which is easy for me i go to work at 1 AM)i actually go 1st 3rd 5th,but cant do that when im going home.I like to shift at 4K.

It's dif for all gears.
All I can say is I cruise at 1800rpm so whatever gear you need so your at or around 1800 your good. This is only my take of what I like to cruise at. To save fuel you might have to go lower.
Dam.
I hope this helps alittle.

For me when I'm just cruising I usually go 1,4,6 even without being locked out of second. But open lanes or back roads I'll hit every single gear about 6200rpm

The redline is meant to be touched daily bro.

You're not going to hurt this engine.
