Break-in smell still??

I have had my camaro for going on 3 months now and have about 1600 miles on her. Everytime i drive and park it in the garage, i still smell that new motor burning smell. This isn't my first new car but I've never had a motor that still had this smell this long. Anyone else still got the smell?

I have about 800 km on mine and I still smell it every once in a while. The harder I run it, the more it smells.

I'm about to get to 7000 miles on mine. I think I recall still smelling that even past 2000 miles, I'm not sure. There's a big uphill right after I pull out of my driveway and I'd always smell it when I would take the hill in first gear. It always kind of bothered me actually, smells nasty. But my interior still smells new!

400 miles and I smell it when my right foot cramps up. Other than that I just smell envy.

Are you sure you didn't run over an animal? Or maybe one snuggled up next to the motor at night and got blended. When I was a little kid my mom killed our cat when she started the car and the cat had been snuggling up next to the warm motor the previous evening.

lol I'm sure. The smell of a new motor breaking in is very distinct. My house is on a long, straight, uncrowded road so I usually get on it pretty good before I get to my house. And after I park it, the whole garage smells strong

Almost 6 months garaged and when I finally took my camaro (Like the way that sounds- “My Camaro”) out so it could stretch it’s tires, the same smell from when I first drove it off the lots had returned. I guess is nothing but normal cause I did a thorough inspection and there were no leaks or evidence of any oil residue. -your guess is as good as mine.
