Yikes.... look at the damn hoses! I can see the "cleaning up the engine bay" thread going a few hundred pages!

And the manual and auto trans SS car will have the same engine - both 455 HP. No contest which will be quicker. (Sorry... I just had to say that).
Haven't heard anything about AFM in the auto SSs. Just a 8-speed trans option.

I can not believe there it not a factory CAI. Might as well consider the LT1 Camaro a 475 HP engine because they will be changed day one without affecting warranty.

There is AFM, its on the technology section on Chevy's website. The Vette has AFM, what makes you think the camaro wouldn't? The AFM in the lt1 is much better than in the l99. In the vette m7 the only time AFM is active is in Eco mode, in the a8 you can turn it off by going into sport mode.

I never did understand why GM put a different motor in the auto SS Camaro! Dumbest idea ever lol Oh well, now buying an auto SS won't hurt you on the street or track.

I guess you'll have to lift the car to change the spark plugs. That's tight!

No room for super charger unless you create a new hood. I'm sure this won't take long for the aftermarket guys to jump on this.

Tight engine bay, meh big deal. Were used to it from the 4th gens. At least the cowl doesnt cover the half the motor. We wanted a smaller, lighter Camaro? This is one of the prices we pay for that. No biggie.

Definitely a lot tighter compared to the 5th gen, almost 4th gen like with the way the engine partially sits under the cowl. Look how forward the hood struts sit.. right in the way.
