Fuel rail covers paint coming off

So the red lettering ( Camaro 427) is coming off the fuel rail covers. I suspect they are covered under warranty, but will more than likely get replaced with the same thing so the problem will more than likely return.
What have you guys done to remedy this issue? I see some of the corvette guys have painted their covers or taken them to body shops to have them painted.

My 2015 has 2700 miles so far and the paint is still fine. Out of curiosity, have you removed the rain deflector in your hood vent? My guess is, that would trap a lot of heat if it was still installed and may cause the problem?

Just a guess.

Yes it's sitting on a shelf
With the deflector removed you can see the heat wave streaming out after a hard run

I bought my 2015 with 97 miles on it and the paint was peeling on one cover already. I tried to have it warrantied, and got stroked by the service manager who told me it would mess up his warranty budget if he replaced it. I bought an NOS one on eBay for $60.

Hello, mine also peeled. I bought another pair and put them away. Then I took the peeled ones and had them updated ! Now they match the hood vent and you can see them with the rain cover removed. Love it !

The paint comes of the Corvette ones when you have them painted if you track the car. Have GM replace them under warranty and then take them off for track days and hot days when you run the car hard.

Yes, I also had it done by CorvetteMods.com. Good People out of Texas.

They are used to doing LS7 covers for Vettes.
