LSA superchargers...
Kind of a weird question and i'm asking for a car that isn't a camaro, but I figured this may be the place to find people who have done this.
By any long shot, is anyone here overdriving their accessories out of the need to run a larger balancer pulley for a blower? Reason being, I have 2010 camaro accessories on an LSA build I am working on because I couldn't clear a corvette spaced AC. I am using an LSX innovations kit to run the blower off the 6 rib camaro accessory drive along with the accessories. I have a choice of running a factory 2010 camaro balancer, but the camaro balancer is 7.25 versus the LSA's 7.8 blower drive (so I'd have to run a very small pulley to get the boost I want out of it). My other option is to run an LSA balancer, use the outer 7.8" portion to drive my 6 rib accessories and blower and the middle portion to run my AC. Issue here is now I'd be overdriving my accessories/water pump. I thought maybe someone here might be running a supercharger on their factory 6 rib loop and has experimented with larger balancer pulleys to up the boost. I could probably find a larger pulley for the alternator, but I'd be most worried about the PS and the water pump being overdriven. Any help is appreciated! |
