New Falken Tires

Well it's time, after 19,000 miles it's time to replace the PZeros. I have decided to go with Falken Pro G4 A/S tires. Can get them at a reasonable price and they are an all season tire. Since this car is just used for cruising I don't feel the need to buy a summer only tire. This car never sees snow, but I am hoping for more miles out of these. Will post up a review when I get them mounted on the car.

I just put these same tires on my SS vert and i love them. Granted, they are not a performance tire but found they perform very well. I replaced my Pirelli Zeros and wish i would have done it sooner. The Pirelli's, in my opinion, are junk and you're just paying for the name and people think they're sexy. I played a little with the Falkens and they barked at me a little when i punched it while cornering, but they never broke loose. The Falkens are soooooo much more smoother than the Zeros and they respond very well. The tread is pretty aggressive but they look nice with the stock rims. Got mine at Discount Tire for $860, with all the bells and whistles....and they have a 45k warranty, only got 22k out of the Zeros. Ive had just about every brand out there and these rank right up there with the big boys, in my honest opinion.

Thumbs up Awesome information!

Will ya'll please share your long term reviews?
I'm especially interested in knowing how they perform in occasional spirited driving & rain/light snow conditions.
Also, I'm wondering if they have the rim protector feature.

I went with these a couple of months ago after replacing my p-zeros on my SS after about 32,00 miles.

So far these have been great tires. The ride is much smoother and a lot quieter. Just recently started driving it in cold/rain and handling has been excellent. I tried a little spirited driving in these conditions and traction and control was great.

I ended up getting the Falken Pro G4 A/S tires when I bought new wheels. I immediately noticed the smoother (more pleasant) ride. The grip in wet conditions instills much more confidence than the OEM (summer) tires. I live in the Northwest & drive the car year round, so it's an important feature in these parts. While there's slightly less grip in a quick takeoff during the summer, the difference is negligible & certainly livable for non-track use.

My old post, but since I started it, I may as well update it. Finally got the new tires installed on Saturday. After finally getting the car out of storage after 7 months I was really surprised that it started right up and still had 34 lbs of air in the tires. (before anyone comments in the last 7 months I have built 2 motorcycles one from the frame up, rebuilt a 16x16 foot deck and almost rebuilt an entire Jeep Wrangler.)

I went with the Falken Ziex ZE950 AS tire. Was looking for an all season tire and heard and read good reviews. I purchased two back wheels and have a squared setup of 275/40-20's all the way around.

Tire Review:
They ride smooth and have very little road noise so far.
The ride quality is about the same as the Perelli tires as they also have a very short sidewall. ( I had heard these have a soft sidewall but haven't noticed any negative effects)
I have found the grip is reasonable for an all season tire and I pushed hard doing 85 in a 45 mile an hour sweeping turn and no traction or stabilitrak lights and the car always felt stable.
The squared setup makes the car easier to drive it doesn't push in turns anymore and pretty much goes where you point it. Also straight line driving on the freeway is good with very little driver input required.
The tires took very little weight to balance, about 1.25 to 1.75 ounces per tire average.

This is my initial assessment, I was worried at first as another Camaro owner was at the tire shop ahead of me and stated that he had to pull these tires off as they were Sh*t as far as he was concerned and didn't hook up and made all kinds of noise. He then went on to tell me he found the handling at 120 mph suspect and that when he hit 160 it wasn't stable. I kind of wandered over to see his car as I figured that if he was doing this on a regular basis it must have some cool mods.... Nope, completely stock 2014 Camaro with an automatic, not even an aftermarket muffler.... factory must have changed a bunch in 2014 I didn't hear about.....

The really nice thing about these tires, I found them online for 119.00, had a small local tire shop give me a quote based on that price and they quoted me 100.00 a tire. I took that quote to Discount Tire and they beat the quote at 92.00 per tire. I would have went with the first one but they had to order the tires and said it would be 4 or 5 days and Discount beat the price and had the tires the next day. Discount Tire's regular price on these tires is 139.00. A savings of 188.00!!!!!

My 2010 I had put on Pedders Sways to the stiffest point front and back. Car handled great. When I got my 2013 it handled just as good if not better than my 2010 with the Pedders. So yeah GM did make improvements between the years.

Off coarse I could not stay stock and converted my car with the 1LE track pack. Better yet.
