CENTRAL IL Meet May 1st 11am

Hey guys,
I was thinking of looking into what it would take to get a Camaro meet here in the Bloomington-Normal area sometime this spring, since NO-ONE will want a meet in the middle of winter! Before I go looking into everything it will take, I want to see if it will be worth organizing. I don't own a Camaro, but them so I am willing to do this.

MEET IS SET:
May 1st 11am @ Ted's Garage in Clinton

Also, there will be door prizes sponsored by State Bank of Lincoln and Baum Chevrolet. There will also be awards for:
-Longest Distance Traveled
-Engine
-Exterior

Also, for those interested, in Decatur IL @ the Decatur Airport, there is a car show from 5-9pm by the FUN TIME CRUISERS. The contact person is listed as Jerry Blackwell ph#217-412-8671, 50s-60s music, $5 reg fee. I am told that at last years show there was a real good show with a lot of cars. As more info comes in about this I will add it. Looking to see if there is a site with more info.

If you would be willing to show up let me know and if we get a decent amount willing to show up, I will take further steps in trying to organize it...

Will update list regularly, and create a new one once things are set for the meet. Provided everything goes as planned... Just an FYI, it may be a little while considering winter hasn't come into full effect yet...

I LOVE GM vehicles, and particularly Chevy's, but would buy any GM vehicle if I had the $$...Hopefully, one day, soon enough, a 5th Gen CAMARO! Dave_O

I'm sure I can get a few people from C5G to cruise down for a day. There is that abandoned bus depot behind Hovey that I have wanted to take pics at for years.

Where on Hovey? I can't picture an abandoned bus depot there...east or west of campus on hovey?

I live in the Oaks on hovey....

If you take Main to Hovey going toward downtown Bloomington and make a right by the Pikes house it's one block over. The houses across from the pikes back there yards up to it.

HMMMM, I need to go check that out now!!! But I'm not sure its there anymore.. Will check on my way to/back from class tomorrow. That's my way to campus!!! But if its behind Pikes, then that could explain why I never notice it...

edit: Re-read it and realized what you said... You said the houses ACROSS from Pikes... OK, but yea, never really pay attention beyond the houses, will tomorrow though!!!

I've been to Bloomington, IL for an STP concert a year ago and it's not that far and a nice drive. I would be up for it.
