No check engine light for me. My cover fit, it would sometimes come loose from the forward pin that it snapped into. I have a Injen longtube CAI and a Trifecta tune. They were already installed at the time of the Black Iceolater install. I used the rtv sealant. I don't know if using another gasket would allow your cover to fit. I never had a problem with the cover staying put, it would pop off the stud in front once in a while. I don't use my cover anymore since I added my BMR strut tower brace.

You shouldn't get a CEL unless it's mis-installed. It would be best to get your tune updated, but not required.

there is no update for the tune through trifecta. trifecta does one tune suits all approach. no minor adjustability.

Theyve adjusted my cars tune 3 times now. I just sent a datalog to them after getting new exhaust and they are working on the 4th. They found a few things that needed adjusting do to the cold weather. Admittedly, they do take a long time sometimes. Im a big critic of them in that regard. But they do accept datalogs and adjust as necessary.
