I remember the original thread with Dan talking about losing his car. Well at least it ended up in another member's hands and that member will be taking good care of it!

Dan, it may hurt still to have lost it. But one day you'll be able to drive a 5th or 6th gen again. Or you can be like Papa John's founder one day and buy your car back

Wow that is a cool and sad story at the same time, to the new owner I wish you many great times in your new Camaro, and to the young man who was the original owner, it is safe to say that you seem to be wise beyond your years, and that you will own another Camaro some day.

Thanks everybody for all of your kind words. I never expected this kind of a response..I was just overjoyed to find out my car is in good hands and that Scott's signature didn't get wiped away by somr unknowing dealer. I think from reading the responses in this thread I can say that Camaro5 really is like an extended family. I've heard other people say that but never believed it too much until now.
While it did hurt to lose my car and all the time and money I put into it I now have an 02 Z28 (see my signature). It might not be a 5th gen but it is a Camaro.
Also I'd like to thank Scott Settlemire for all the great things he does for us Camaro enthusiasts. One of those things being signing our cars at shows because if he hadn't done that for me I never would have found my car again.
