Janet,

Picked up my ZL1 today. Red, M6, Blk Wheels, Blk Stripe. It is certainly a great car for less than 1/2 price of my former 2009 ZR1 which I sold 3 weeks ago for 80k. I sold the ZR1 primarily due to space constraints. The Zr1 was a fantastic car but I wanted the Zl1 & I didn't want to rent a storage unit again & switch one of my cars out every 2 weeks. My other car is a 2008 Viper ACR, Red with a Drivers Stripe & I certainly did not want to sell that. I happen to be a RED CAR guy & my ZR1 was Cyber Grey.

By the way I am going to Cars & Coffee in Irvine next Saturday, April 21. It would be great if a few of the local Zl1's were there

Congratulations on the new ZL1! You are right on the money regarding the price of the ZL1 compared to a ZR1 Vette. I feel the same way in just comparing the cost of the ZL1 order I have the cost of my 2006 Z06 Vette. GM is doing some great development work and I could not be happier. And everyone else is stepping up in the performance area as well.

By the way you have a great suite of performance cars.

Keith thanks for posting your pictures here, it was a truly great day for both of us. See the "IT'S TWINS" for the dual delivery.

Let me introduce you to MAXINE. She is Crystal Red Tint with Exposed Carbon Fiber Hood, Polished Wheels, Sunroof, Suede Package Interior and Cargonet. My deepest thanks to the entire Camaro Team for designing and engineering a truly phenomenal vehicle and the entire Camaro Build Team in Oshawa for building a world class supercar.

I picked up Maxine at Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, Fl. and drove her 240 Miles home. During whole ride I felt like Fbodfather was hiding in the car somewhere waiting to yell at me if I did not follow the break-in guidelines. It was a great ride home in a very special car. Thank you Chevrolet and enjoy the pictures.
Love that CRT but I didn't think it was available on ZL1's.

WOw, just read an article on the ZL1. Faster than a Corvette GS at better than $10K less. You have to get the Z06 to beat it. That certainly devalues the majority of Corvettes out there. It even beats my old 2003 Z06. Told my wife I doubt if there will be another Corvette in my future. No since in buying an "affordable" Corvette that a Camaro can trounce.

But, for overall value, ride comfort, performance, and value, the ZL1 is a bargain. I can't figure out how GM took everything into consideration and made a product that will meet and fufill so much consumer criteria across the board. They pulled it off!

I hope you're planning on keeping for at least 25 years. Even then, if it makes you money, I bet you could have put that $60k into something else that would make you more money.

IMO, buying a new car as an investment is one of the worst decisions anyone can make.
