NPP Exhaust > Corsa or Borla

I friend of mine was saying that the borla atak or the corsa exhaust made specifically for the ZL1 will have a better sound than the stock NPP exhaust. Has anyone done this yet? If so, links to videos would be great.

Exhaust sound is all subjective....what one loves, another will hate....try to hear them in person (internet videos and earbuds don't always work so great)....make your own decision about what you like best.

My vote is for Corsa....that's what I'll be ordering here in the next few weeks.

They are very expensive exhausts. You already have an exhaust on your car that is better than most aftermarket catbacks in terms of quality and flow. You will not gain any power swapping out the NPP, and the valves which allow you to control sound is an outstanding feature you'd lose. To spend that kind of money on an exhaust that will gain you no power, no weight reduction and lose the variable sound, you better LOVE the sound it produces.

Couldn't agree with you more. I've never understood why people spend $600-$800 for a cat back...

Well this is true for a mostly stock engine. However, most FI cars will benefit from a 3" cat back vs. the 2.5" that the NPP is (2.75" on the Z28).

If you're under 600RWHP and already have the NPP, don't waste you're money. Hi flo cats or cat deletes will wake up the sound though... And of course, the must have long tubes.
