Anyone with experience with E3 Spark Plugs?

Over the weekend I was watching "Gearz" on SPEED and E3 Spark Plugs were overviewed. Does anyone have any direct experience with these plugs and are they worth changing to over stock or would another brand be better ?

Here's a link to the E3 site - http://www.e3sparkplugs.com/

From our Owners Manual the V6 AC Delco part # is 41-990 so the E3 model is E3.66... Amazon had them for $5.95 each, list is $11.71.

Are those the ones they tested on horsepower tv? If so they showed an increase in horsepower and fuel economy. They tested them on a small block chevy on an engine dyno vs regular spark plugs.

I found a link which has the video from Gearz - http://www.kokeygadgets.com/featured...z-video-72009/

In a google search on "E3 Spark Plugs" there are as you'd expect some hits that praise these and others that say stay away - mostly from 2006-2007 & indicate cracking or other issues - no recent hits on issues it appears.

Hopefully some members have their own experiences with these plugs - I'm not in a hurry to try them if there are potential issues but love to see feedback.

If they're anything like SplitFires I'll pass. I had two of them crumble the center insulator and badly score cylinders.

Unless you have 50K or more Miles on your Camaro why would you change your plugs?
I hope you know you will not see any measurable gains in ANY way.........
These type plugs have been around in one form or another since AT LEAST the 1950's or 1960's maybe longer.

Well, contrary to your statement, there are been more then a few situations where the E3 has indeed shown horsepower and even mpg gains, over traditional plugs. Are they ( the shows/situations)reliable? Don't know, but for the same price as the factory, a chance to improve on the above numbers and simply for the fun factor of throwing the car on the dyno, why not?

Also, then one will have a completely unbiased, ie; non-paid, representation of the plugs, yes?
