The hard part would be finding an un-modded Mustang from those years.

The Mustang GT would win stock vs stock.

If it's a 5 speed a Mustang GT of that year should run in the mid/high 5s to 60 and the 1/4 mile in the very low 14s with a few in high 13s. If it is an automatic though, go for it, I was able to pace those in my old LT1 Caprice.

It'll be close, but you should have him. Stock, as said earlier its tough to find one that has nothing done to it.

It would probably be a driver's race. I had a run in with one about that same model year and it wasn't close at all. I'm sure the V6 would definitely be neck and neck with it.

Question:
What's going to accelerate faster? A Stock 2010 Mustang GT WITHOUT Track Pack and WITHOUT the 3.55 axle ratio. A Bone stock GT. vs. a 6 Cylinder Camaro 2LT??? The axle ratio makes a big difference from what I'm reading. |

A bone stock 2010 would run up and down the track with a lt camaro. Its not all about horsepower, even though that and the price are close, the camaro v6 is not in the same comparison as a 2010 mustang gt.

This thread was about 1999-2004 Mustang GT, NOT about 2005-2010 Mustangs... BIG DIFFERENCE!

IMHO 5 speed 99-04 GT, its a vin for the GT, if it's an auto, it'll be a good run for a V6 Camaro. The Camaros has a decent HP advantage, but the GT has a big torque advantage and around a 500 pound weight advantage
