P0201 Diagnosis and troubleshooting

Out of the blue yesterday when starting my car in the morning, it immediately went into limp mode, had an audible/palpable misfire, the "service stabilitrack" message came up, and I got code P0201 "cylinder 1 injector malfunction". I haven't driven the car. I double checked the connection to the injector, I can feel the injector pulse at idle with my finger, but haven't gone past this point. Car is tuned by RDP, I flashed to stock tune, clear DTCs and the issue persisted. Flash back to RDP tune, clear DTC and it's still there.

Any ideas or help on how to diagnose or repair the issue?

2015 Camaro SS - Longtube headers, RDP tune, NOWEEDS diverters. No other mods.

p0201 means there is an short to V, Short to ground or open/high resistance
in the control circuit.
the injector should be 11-14 ohms check that first.
u said it was misfiring right?

Steve, checked the wires and plugs, all brand new and no evidence of issues.

Mouse, the injector ohm’d out at less than 1 ohm, all other injectors are in good range. Going to replace the one injector and will report back.

I would start off by load testing the battery and checking grounds.

Replaced the injector and she runs like a champ. I did check ground connections and all other relevant wiring wire harnessing I could get to. No evidence of damage, spilts, shorts or anything other than the one injector plug that shows some sign of scorching as you can see in the picture. I took the connector apart and made sure there was internal damage. I guess the injector just died, seems kinda weird at only 55k miles.
