Dimple on top of rear fender

I'm reposting on this page with a picture. I'm realy interested to hear from others and what the factory has to say.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I did not notice a dimple on top of the driver side rear fender when I first picked up my Camaro. It’s small yet if the light is just right it can be seen. I just recently learned from another 2010 Camaro owner she had the same dimple. I was told the dimple is not there at first and later shows up due to a weakness in the sheet metal. Has anyone heard of this and if so what does Chevrolet say about it? I figured I would live with it since I don’t want my whole fender repainted, being ABM in color.

You can the dimple in the pic, it has a darker shade since it's indented.

p.s. mods in the future when you move a post please manually transfer it, when in the wrong page it dies. Thanks.

I have no clue about the dimple whats that #411 of 3903 business? The ABM cars were not numbered. News flash, your car isnt a special numbered car. Its just low volume because GM did a crappy job marketing the color. Sorry.

Now go get the dent fixed.

A good PDR person should be able to correct it for you. It seems the GM has a problem and is not doing anything about it.

There's a fellow on this web site that has build/delivery dates of ABM Camaros, also has the final number of ABM's built (or close to) I was told I had No. 411 delivered ABM Camaro out of 3903 delivered, its an early one since I ordered very early in 2009.

I have a dimple in a different spot. On my R. Rear Quarter Panel right at the rear point of the fixed side glass there is a pretty good dimple. Anyone have that one too?
