Tail Light Bezel Plasti Dip

I am going to plasti dip my tail light bezels this weekend and before I do I would like to get some input from the experts out there. I have a few questions listed below. Thanks again for you inputs.

How to prep? Is sanding needed or just wash and spray?

How far away should I be spraying?

How long should I wait between coats? And how many.

After my last coat how long so I wait before putting the bezels back on my car?

All inputs are greatly appreciated. I would like to do this once without having to reaccomplishing it. If I missed a question I should have asked please let me know.

Thanks Again!!!

1. DO NOT SAND. Wash with car soap or rubbing alcohol.
2. Spray pretty close. (4-6 inches)
3. 20-30 minutes between coats with 1st coat being light and 2 more heavy.
4. Overnight
*Bonus*
Make sure the clips are clean before putting back on. They fit snug anyway and any additional build makes it tougher to get put back on.

Just did mine the other day, hvychvy pretty much covered it all.. I waited 15 between coats and it came out just fine. just some soap in the sink and a little rubbing alcohol, spray a light coat and then slowly build it up with heavy coats after

I did my Bezels about 3 hours ago and I think i might have used to much plasti dip or did an uneven coat or something. Do I need to start over or is there something I can do to fix it?

Here's what it looks like.

Definitely looks uneven. It wasn't still wet with whatever cleaner you wiped it down with was it? Just peel it off and do it again.

No. I used car soap and washed it clean and let it dry for about 30 minutes.

It just looks uneven, you have to keep the can moving and use strokes. you may have gotten too close a couple times.

Looks great!!!!! They should just come from the factory this way, C5 is keeping plasti dip in business.

now you need black and white bowties to match!! Not jacking the thread but it makes a huge difference.

Or some combination of black, white, or orange to go with ur stripes

Yours look good as well. I am thinking of getting white plasti dip and doing my bowtie black and white. It does make a huge difference.
