Actual RWHP for new Z/28?

I’ve seen in magazines the HP that the new Z28 will put down at the fly, but I haven’t seen any actual RWHP numbers. Does anyone know where it will be in that aspect, and how much lighter is the Z28 vs. the 2010 SS.

nothing final yet. I would think you an expect something around 425rwhp and about 100#'s lighter than an SS.

No one knows because the final HP numbers haven't been released. They said at least 500 HP so I would expect it to be 505.

They have estimated approximately 18% driveline loss. The Zl1's have been right around 580 crank and approx. 500 RWHP.

With the current M6's only 15% has been observed. Approx 14% since there is no longer a power steering pump on the 13' - 14'

My 2013 1LE showed about 13% drivetrain loss...

That being said it's a standard off the shelf LS7. They are rated at 505hp/470tq. So simple math predicts 440hp/410tq.

Then again it has that CAI so it may be a touch higher... Just some SWAGing though.

My guess is 450 RWHP and a little over 3,700 lbs.

yeah 18% DT loss seems high. Mine was less than 12% loss. 426hp and my baseline was 378WHP.

I'm betting 445+WHP

Well its got a few things going for it. It has tremendously less unsprung weight than the current cars do.

The carbon brakes and the 19" forged lightweight rims will do wonders.

Only thing that could hold it back could be the dry pump but I don't think it will be bad.

Adding a set of headers and a new CAI + Tune I bet there will be people in the 480+ RWHP range easy
