Grinding/buzzing and difficulty going into first?

I took my '15 with 3800 miles on it out for a short drive today. At a stop light, I went to shift into first and noticed some difficulty and then some grinding. I pulled back to neutral and then was eventually able to get it into first. It did it again as I was pulling into a parking lot. I get an occasional buzz/grinding before I am able to pop it into first. Of course, once I got it home and into the driveway it wouldn't do it. Thoughts? I bought the car used from a dealer this winter. Warranty issue?

I’d definitely take it the dealer first. Should still be under warranty.

Ive noticed that the trans can be a little finiky after sitting over night. The first and second gears are tough. But after warming up, its smooth. These cars do produce more noise as there is no sound insulation besides the jute padding under the carpet, and its common to hear the clutch spinning, and engaging, its a whirring and metallic sound. At the very least, the dealer can do a clutch fluid bleed to help your situation a little.

It's definitely not just noise, and it only happens in 1st even when warmed up.

Stationary or rolling?

While rolling, i'd rev match it. Or don't do it. Most cars are sensitive going into 1st at a slow roll above 5-10 mph.

If you're stationary and having grinding issues... that is indeed an issue that needs attention

I was barely moving and yesterday was the first time it had ever happened...and it happened multiple times. It's heading to the dealer tomorrow.

Hopefully nothing serious.

I had noticed a little bit of resistance myself after my first track day, and when I realized that the clutch and brakes shared the same master reservoir, I did a more thorough check. Brake fluid was nasty as I've ever seen. I ended up splitting and retrofitting a separate clutch master reservoir in, flushing everything out (so glad I did... so bad) and since then my issues went away. 2 track days since then and my brake master is clean, clean, clean and my clutch master is disgusting again. Another flush next weekend!

+1 if it's as dirty as I think.

I had some issues with the adjustment on my clutch being incorrect from new (massive clutch slip and difficulty engaging 1st at under 1000miles from new). Replaced it with new parts and now it's perfect even with 578rwhp

There is nothing actually wrong with the parts I removed, just the clutch pressure plate adjustment tabs are set wrong and would need re-setting before any re-fitment.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-tr...djustment.html

That thread mentions there is a GM tech bulletin for setting the adjustment but I've not seen the document. Anyone know about it?

Now that I think about it, it may have done it a few times going into 3rd. I though that was just me messing up a shift, but could be related to the problem.
