TSB for the BANG when the strut decompresses?
Is there or does anyone have the TSB # for the loud bang when going over a bump quickly? This happens when going over the transition of a paved section of road to where a layer of asphalt has been ground away (when they resurface a highway). It also happens on potholes and manhole covers that sticks up. Going over it is fine, the BANG happens after you go over these things.

I am interested also. Noticed the same issue on a trip & the dealer couldn't find any thing about it. I remember a thread about this awhile back.

There is no TSB for this specific issue. I've had my shocks replaced under warranty, but I had to do a ride-along with the dealership to show them how to replicate it. There isn't one thread on this topic, there are dozens.

Just bite the bullet and install some Bilstein B6's and enjoy a bang free ride.

If you can find the B6's!
Tire Rack as the rear shocks for 132.00 the Left front struts (270.00) are available just no Right Front. Summit Racing only shows the rears(143.00) no fronts.

If I get B6's for the front. Should I get them for the rear? Could I just leave the stock ones on?

No problem ,works fine. But I would change all 4 at the same time and get a proper4 wheel 1Le spec alignment .

If you want to get rid of the wheel gap might as well change out the springs too. I went with BMR -1.25 and the B6's, love it. The 1le should have came from the factory with the B6's, sooooo much better.

Is it a DD ? If you lower the car to look cool , you will not be able to go over some speed bumps and some drive ways without bottoming out , even worse if you have Long tubes . So if your not running it on the track be careful of lowering the car . Been there done that and learned the hard way. It's no fun trying to go over driveways sideways so you don't dent and scrape the headers .

After fighting with dealers to take care of the obvious problem, I fixed it myself. I went with the b6’s as well as bmr 1 inch lowering springs, no problems since
