Finally did it
This weekend, at the DIY day at Curry's Auto Service in Alexandria, VA, I finally got around to detailing Evil Eva.
Started with having to peel off two of the 3M Clear Bra panels as they had started to get all gross. Then a hand wash- light misting, dripping soapy suds all over, rinsing, then washing again with a hand sponge. Pulled the car into the bay to let it dry. Clayed the entire car, using Maguires, been a while since I have had to clay, but the results were pretty good. Hand polish. Didn't have a buffer so had to go by hand. yeah, yeah, I know, it will never be as good as a buffer but you make do with what you have. Just went slow with steady, even pressure, in small circles. Afterwards, she was looking kinda shiny, but not enough... yet. Then Hand wax with Maguires Black Wax. Now she is all shiny. Took about 6 hours total, and was kind of repetitive, just add some great music and the time and tedium goes by much faster what do I think of her now? I will try to post pics tonight
