Okay, I don't know how I missed it but I didn't know you controlled the exhaust note via the radio. Thanks, that was informative.

Probably a dumb question, but does turning it off have any impact on gas mileage?

It probably does, as it allows the engine to breathe a tiny bit better, but I doubt it will be enough to notice. And as you would probably play with the throttle more to hear the sweet exhaust music, I suspect any improvement would quickly be cancelled out.
And there is no such thing as a dumb question - ask away!
