Yours is just like Angella's
Still parked waiting to be released.
Nothing really out of sequence on yours.

See the explanation from John Fitzpatrick above in Angella's post. He is explaining that like the first coupes built there is widespread Quality Control checks performed to make these babies perfect in every way. But they are now moving finally and you should see some movement soon.

"I sent a message to dealers last week and advised them that we had started shipping units, but very similar to the coupe production start, the convertibles are undergoing a thorough quality assessment before they are actually released. This has resulted in a slow ramp up of convertibles shipments.

The good news is that everyday more units are cleared for release. If all goes well, we should have the majority of the early builds in the shipping pipeline in very short order."

Drago77,
I feel your pain. But at least you have a website to check you tracking number. Here in Canada we do not have a website or anything close to that. We have to call the GM call center and talk to someone that seems to be just hired of the street with very little knowledge of the tracking system.

I had a good contact there and now he as moved on to another department. My new contact doesn't know anything about the event codes etc. All he could tell me was that my Camaro is schedule to be built in the week of 07 Mar. Funny, I told him that I already knew the TPW 07 Mar. His reply was " That's what TPW means". He tried telling me that GM Canada doesn't use event codes like 3000, 3200 etc and that they use letters A, B, etc. I didn't want to tell this guy what I thought he was full of. I wasted my time calling their call center.

After reading all these responses, perhaps I could have worded my original post better... my intent was to inform others on here, that our cars may in fact be further along than the current event code shows, as evident by what happened with my order. With the gracious explanations offered in this thread on how /why the numbers move as they do, hopefully everybody has a better understanding of the process our cars go through. Thanks for all the input!

Our Commonwealth is being dissed in a sad way. Thing is the dealerships don't seem happy about it either.

Guys- I know I pi$$ed a few ppl off with this thread- but here's my case in point:

GMConnects states:

Status 02/23/2011 - (4800) Rail ramp unload. Vehicle has been unloaded from train.
Checked on 02/27/2011

My car was delivered to ME yeasterday AM...

Just sayin- its a GREAT tool to estimate, but not the be-all, end-all of progression!

Keep the faith, and don;t get discouraged, you may be pleasantly surprised!

PS- love my vert!

True is true. If it's true, it shouldn't piss anyone off.

I remember way back in May of 2009 my status at the dealer said 3800 one day and he called me the next day to tell me my car was here.

It was nice to be ahead but WOW, how inacurate.

Hope you get your exhaust on soon. Nice ride.......congrats.

Perhaps you have a suggestion which will allow transport and dealer personnel to update GM sooner?

So the dealer and/or transport companies put in the info for Connects updates...nothing to do with GM or the factory of orgin? I assume GM does when it's info about production or moving around in the storage lot....example back and forth from 4B00 and 4200.

Thanks.
