Just to be different I could see myself in a 1LE and throwing a crate 7 litre in it. That would be cool.

1LE looks similar to ZL1 until you punch the gas pedal.

Grille, Splitter/Spoiler and Wheels/Tires are the same... Nothing else is, appearance-wise. And the "average Joe" will have a tough time identifying those similarities, and most of those couldn't care less.
"Crate LS7"? Why not wait for the GM version?! A ZEE by another name/engine is still a ZEE... |

Considering they all start with the base Camaro, it's hard to avoid that. Most people that are not car people will never blink an eye at the difference between a v6 and a SS/1LE/ZL1.

I think the 1LE should be called the SS with a ZL1 appearance pkg. It reminds me of how the GS pkg on the Vett make it look just like a Z06.

I do agree that they all look SIMILAR (and they should since they're all the same base car), but to say a ZL1 and a V6 look alike is like saying a Subaru Impreza looks like a WRX STi. To the trained eye, they definitely look different (even my wife can spot the differences). To the untrained eye, they probably don't care anyway! Back on topic, I think the 1LE looks great, but I love the looks of the ZL1 more. There are enough distinct features that set it apart for a true enthusiast to know the difference, then there is the matter of the GO pedal.... |

When GM offers full dosclosure on all technical details of 1LE, I'd suggest comparing them to ZL1. There is a lot more technology, at least at this point, in ZL1 to making it a great all-around sports car. 1LE sounds to be more track oriented, so it doesn't have all the technology stuffed into ZL1. I thought GM might add some more goodies into 1LE (or what I thought may eventually be Z28) from ZL1, but it's hard to argue with the price

I don't think it looks like the ZL-1. It looks more like a SS with different wheels. which is how is should be.
The 1LE package is really just a performace pack to the Z28 in the past. So since there is no Z28 it is just a Perfromace pack for the SS. To me the zL-1 gets it looks form the hood and facia which ths 1LE. It hink peopel get too caught up in this. I mean when you look at a first getn camaro the packages were very minor tweeks just like they are doing today.

lsa motor 6-7k (price the LSA then the LS3 big $$$ dif.) all the track pack ~3k updraded trany, diff, etc should make up the other ~2k that gets you to 15k. now on the flip side if somebody does not want the mag ride just boost or add N/a power to the 1lE. The 1le has teh .74 5th so all those people that drive in the 190's regularly would get there extra top end.

But maybe the design is breaking down the barriers to each where we are becoming a classless society. We really can't have that, if that is what you mean by your question. Because with no classes there would be no need for a state. A stateless society would become communistic! |

I'm pretty sure your not going to mistake a ZL1's front fascia and hood coming at you on the road for one of the lesser models. Maybe a COPO is in order for more exclusivity. Wait.... that kinda resembles a 5th gen as well. Oh well, off to the Bugatti dealer so i will NEVER be mistaken for a Camaro again. |
