Same, but I'm partial to the 14-15 (especially 1LE). There's a part of me that wants to do a max effort N/A build on a 5th gen and keep my '23 bone stock and preserve it as a last of the breed kind of thing. My wallet doesn't feel the same

Honestly, if you're going to go after a 5th gen, target the 2012-2015 models, as they received the FE4 suspension upgrade vs. the factory FE3 on the earlier models. I speak from experience as it was an upgrade I was targeting on my 2011 prior to upgrading directly to a 6th gen ZL1.

It's a significant difference in ride/feel personally. Some may not care, but it was tested for the 5th gen ZL1 and then put into all the standard SS cars for 12 and up.

You'd be better off buying a used 5th gen ZL1 and dumping the money into it that way. The rear diff on the ZL1 is for the most part bulletproof up to about 900-1000hp. The suspension is all better and aside from the weight of the car (all 5th gens basically), you could do a lot with those LSA engine setups. I can totally understand the desire to go NA however....

And truthfully, I'd still say dump the 23, grab a new ZL1 (while you can) and just make that payment...

Seems everyone here can agree. The EXTERIOR of the C8 design is disjointed and will not age well.
The C8 owners who frequent gmauthority.com can't accept that because they spent so much.

We'd hope they spent that much because they enjoy the car and think it's a cool design. Why should they need to accept someone else's opinion of their car, and why would someone feel a need to put others' cars down?

LOL! Maybe agree to disagree. The C8s are badass. Been around enough of them in the track environment to realize the Chevrolet engineers did thier homework. The new Z06 is just plain badass ×2!

To be fair there are some private sellers asking for ridiculous prices on their cars as well.
