it seems to me, you might as well buy the new PDIM yourself and install it, as mentioned, its P-N-P and be done with all the stress you are putting yourself through.

I've been having this same issue since I purchased my car and I've NEVER found a solution... is this related?

Sadly, the dealerships don't seem to agree.

It all depend if you have a good one or not.......Mine didn't blink an eye, ordered the part, and installed under warranttee.

and if you are having that hard of a time, and you can't find a dealer that will help you.....there is an easy solution. Bite the bullet and buy the CORRECT PDIM and install it.....problem solved.

Gah!!!! Okay Okay I give in!!! I ordered the PDIM part # 22797218 this morning......found it on amazon for $85

I took my car in this morning as per what the gm high roller told me to do so they could hook it up to the computers to make sure I have the most updated software well I'm pretty sure they have done this already 10 times! So same story this morning system is all up to date nothing new. I even printed out from this thread pics of the radio screen shots from Sir Nuke and sycraft showing the hw/sw versions and the comments all they said was that different camaros take different part numbers and my camaro has the most updated part # in it Will update yall as soon as the part comes in and I get it installed.

So, if it fixes your problem, will they put a warranty claim through and refund your money? install it yourself btw.

Not sure if they will refund my money...I will definitely bring it to their attention and I will be doing the install myself.

So can I install it myself? Or does the dealer need to do something to it?

The latest part number should be updated, so just plug and play...only if you did not have one before and are upgrading do you have to have the radio programmed to recognize the PDIM
