Blower with Nitrous...

Is anyone running a PD blower (ideally Whipple) with nitrous?

Would appreciate to know your setup.

I run a small shot with my turbo. With FI the 50 shot does a lot because it really cools the intake charge. A lot of people don't feel the need to add nitrous with FI because you just go to a smaller pulley and raise boost for more power and it's more controllable than nitrous. Guys are hitting 1000hp with PD blowers now. Plus, if you are going to put nitrous on a PD blower, I would highly recommend having forged pistons and rods.

I have not done this myself. But I have researched it and considered. I think there’s some good threads on it if you search. From what I can remebebr…it works great and is a hell of a power adder on top of the blower. Cools the charge. Does all its hyped to do. But also needs the tune to be dialed in to absolute perfection, and then it still has some risk to it. I’ll see if I can find some of the threads I remember reading.

Consider an LNC2000 or similar to pull the timing so you don't have to change tunes when not using nitrous

I'm sure there are many PD blower and nitrous combinations out there. I have a maxed out TVS 2300 and direct port nitrous setup. Pilled for 250 on top of boost. I'm also pretty sure with the addition of the blower it produces much more than 250 hp. Works great, but I would recommend you know how to tune depending on how large of shot your wanting. I had a plate system with a 150 shot on my previous motor that went through many bottles of nitrous with virtually no nitrous problems. With a good controller and well-built no cost cutting corners installation nitrous is great as long as you can keep from getting too greedy. Especially if you have a maxed-out blower and still wanting more.

I really appreciate your writeup. I don't plan to use it all the time, just when I need it. It's currently a 416 with a th400 in it. Lost some giddy-up on pulls with the th400, so I want to give myself an option at no prep events, mostly. Agree tuning is the key. luckily my tuner is familiar with it, too.
