You seemed to get your feelings hurt when people were just trying to help you. Two bad thermostat housings is very unlikely. Even though the repair is under warranty do you really want them working on it again? I would chance it and have someone else look at the car and have them diagnose the leak. If it is another problem ask for a refund from the original shop-you did get the old housing back didn't you? A quick look should see any crack or corrosion on the flange. For a full refund they will want the replacement housing back.

No feelings are hurt only 3 to 4 people had anything constructive to say. At this point I'm either doing it myself or the dealer have no decided. It was all covered under warranty a year ago when I bought car from carvana. That warranty is gone the people who repaired it are the ones fixing it as they provided a 1 year 12k warranty. I don't have any parts from it. I appreciate your input have a good day.

Thank you sir
Being a 40 plus year automotive technician I’ve tried to give good advice to members that may not know what to do or test check etc…. I’ve also learned a lot from this great 5th gen site. The camshaft I’ve installed, the torque converter etc. This forum is great. I just snapped when I read that. Members just trying to help and gather more information

I can tell you from experience Carvana puts band aids on repairs they probably put stop leak in your system instead of replacing the housing.
Go to Ebay or Amazon and look up coolant dye and also pick up an inexpensive black light.
Put the dye in and run the engine for a bit and see where its actually leaking-you may have to wait until dark if you don't see anything. Once you see where its leaking you can go from there.

Had nothing to do with housing he heater pipe has two pin holes in the metal that swell when it gets hot. We pressure tested etc all with no issue until we ran it and got it hot then we found the leak.

Look like water accumulated over the years considering this car is not driven in rain or snow should be good for years to come...changed all hoses at same time so we are good!

Just an FYI-

GM's been putting stop leak tablets in the coolant systems at the factory for DECADES. GM service centers also are recommended to use them when replacing new engines and radiators, etc., as a preventive measure.

Just sayin'. Anyone who says they'll never use stop-leak tablets likely already has.

Glad you got it sorted, and didn't require major repair.

So after a month its leaking again and now its leaking at the water outlet/coolnat fill on the block. We put uv dye in the dexcool to verify norhing is leaking at the housing which is dry. Seals changed lets hope this solves it....
