My 2007 Infinity G35 outruns my 2010 Camaro V6
Hi All,
Found this quite interesting...I have both a G35 V6 3.5L AWD (4) door and a 2010 Camaro V6 RS. My G35X is rated at 306 hp and the Camaro at 304 Hp. The G35x was tested by Car and Driver Mag and ran 0-60 MPH in 5.2 seonds and quarter in 13.9 and has 268 lbs of Torque. It is not a light car...curb weight 3532 lbs. Camaro 3750 curb weight...270 lbs of torque Hard to believe my 4 door AWD V6 will beat my Camaro ! Those damn mufflers on the Camaro weigh too much! LOL best J Last edited by faninc; 01-18-2010 at 08:32 AM. Reason: sp |

That's why they make SS camaros to take care of cars like that.

I believe it, those numbers are too close. And for the camaro to be 200lbs heavier, it just wouldn't make up the difference.

Just surprised that Camaro 2 door sports car is so damn heavy vs. a 4 door AWD sedan V-6 3.5L family sedan and gets outrun...
Maybe you guys assumed that? |

Have you seen the size of the Camaro? Family sedan has nothing to do with power to weight.

yes, I actually own one....guess you missed my point...it was more a design question?
I know how weight and HP work... best J |

the G series are some serious cars....but you really can't compare them to a camaro.
I mean that G will out run a '68 350 Camaro too. I'd still rather have the '10 or '68 than a G. Thats just me. |

I agree, have a 69 camaro and 2010. Just found it interesting that's all. I guess kudos to Infinity...for a hell of a 4 door sedan.

I agree...the G with those output numbers and weight difference...PLUS AWD....I'd expect it to take the V6 camaro.
