I think we are over-analyzing. The Z/28 will have a V-12 pushing 750+hp with a red line of 10k

Don't forget that Cadillac also had a 7.1L and 7.4L V-16 engine... why not drop that in the Z/28 Camaro......

Still think they should have done the Sixteen as a pure 'WOW!' project. Hand build it (to eliminate tooling cost & enhance the 'prestige') and do only a tiny number per year (perhaps as low as 16) at an extraordinary price. Any losses on the project get deducted from the Cadillac marketing budget.

It might be a 60 degree engine instead of a 90 however it is very unlikely that they stray that far off from the V8s they currently make.

I have a theory that the FPC was being developed for the Ford GT and they decided to change it up and go ecoboost to push that agenda.

Either way, the RnD costs are being carried only by the GT350s, so they can put that engine in the Mustang and make their money back.

I still think it will be some kind of a tuned LT1.

The LT4 is the most likely, followed by an upgraded LT1.
