ZL1 Fascia w/no fog lights?

has anybody done anything different to their zl1 fascias? I wanna get it but having four foglights is one down side... I know member Pyroboy has done it.... I was thinking of not putting the fog light bezels and throwing a piece of mesh behind the ports

Do it. I don't see why that would be a problem.

You could paint it black inside there and those 3 slots would disappear. (if your car is black then you're set) I am thinking of getting this bumper and was considering saving money by not getting the foglights, inserts, etc.

thats true... if we were to do this all we'd need is the bumper and the lower splitter.. I think ... which should save some $..

Yea, I was quoted $1,700.00 for the complete ZL1 bumper cover kit painted, shipped, etc. That is effin' expensive imo. I would like to keep it around or under $1,000.00.

Maybe put the lights in front of those 3 clip holes? Looks like they'd fit. Then mesh the rest of the opening or something.

You actually do not have 4 fog light you have 2 Daytime running lights, and at night you have just the headlights and the fog lights the DRL do not come on at night.

Here are two pics one with the DRL's on for the daytime and the other with the headlights & Fogs for night time driving.

Get the eBay fog lights and non-GM bolts if you want to save some money. The missing fog lights look like missing fog lights.

Here is what you do, dont get it painted and have the holes filled in then paint it and install your mesh.

That will look good. IMO
