Camo'd camaros still out there...
One of my co-workers who happens to know of my obsession, grabbed these pics today in Troy at Jimmy John's on at 16/Rochester. Just thought it was kind of weird that there are some still out there with camo on them... It looks like they got bored 1/2 way through taking it off and said screw it .
Anyway, I know these are nothing compared to what we have now, but a nice reminder of when something like these would've had everyone here buzzing over 6-12 months ago. |

I bet that car has like 8zillion miles on it now. I'm sure that's why it's still roaming around. How else do you do long term testing without testing cars for a long time?

Actually, I think it's pretty cool to see pictures like this. It's a little change of pace

From what I understand there is still quite a bit of testing going on with these vehicles. They won't waste time removing camo - the car can still be used for most of their tests.

Well I hope what ever issues they find, they fix before they make mine!

A GM emp. I think, Fodbather stated in another thread that they have to get 500,000 miles on one before they can be sold for auto renta agencies. Not sure. But either way the more miles they put on em and problems that get worked out the better for us.

Over at SwRI they drive cars on this track over and over day and night for testing. I could not handle that getting paid to drive a circle for 8 hours a day.
