P0420 is the bank 1 (passenger side) downstream O2 sensor. Has absolutely NOTHING
do do with the TPMS sensors. 2010 and 2011 can be relearned without the tool.
RESET it in the DIC, then let air out of each wheel, in order, and the horn will sound
on each wheel then the sensor is learned. Two beeps when done. Then key off,
fill the tires to the proper pressure, then you're good to go.

P0420 - It's either a bad sensor, or the primary cat is going bad, meaning, too much
flow; not doing its job. When the downstream O2 sensors start to have the same
readings as the upstream, this code is set.

You can drive forever with the code, it will not effect air:fuel ratios, or performance
of the car. I am catless, and have P0420 and P0430, no problems.

A bad O2 sensor can also be the issue, and if so, replace with an OEM sensor. Do
not use Bosch, they do not work, and will throw the same code.

"The car battery is showing correct amperage 14.7"
That is voltage, not Amperage.

The earlier gen 5's can re-learn the TPMS sensors without special equipment. Check this thread: https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=478938

I think they took this feature away in later years, but it works on my 2011.
