Not everyone else got that call, some of us know when it was coming, but the dealers did not know.

I would hold out. When we got our SS more people were checking out the Black Z/28 than the new Stingray in front of it. The Z/28 was also more expensive ($5k market adjustment).

I took one pic of the Vette, but at least 3 of the Z/28.

Hold out man!

You ordered what YOU want.

Wait for it, I was in the same boat as you. ZR1 is a bad ass car but the Z/28 is in a league of its own. It's insane the amount of attention the car gets, and the sound, oh the sound is wonderful.

If it's a fully loaded later year ZR1 at a decent price I would get that car. Also consider the market value of ZR1's may drop once the official performance numbers and msrp are announced and it's comparable to or better than the outgoing ZR1. So it may be better to wait for a better deal.

So how is GM getting any money from a used car? they all ready made their money when they sold it new.

It all trickles down or up. As used ones get bought, the supply goes down for used ones, so some will buy new one because of no used one they want. Remember indirectly they do. The more used cars sell the more new ones will sell.

I understand supply and demand, but wow, what a reach with that one. All I know is that GM will not get a dime of the op's money by buying a used car. Dealer will but not GM. They already made their money on that car.

Well, I'm officially a Turncoat.

Anthony Andrew Granatelli died last December. aka "Mr.500", an early hotrod pioneer and famous hotrodder.

The last car he bought was a Red 2010 ZR1 3ZR SN 00011. He only put 1752 miles on before passing away.

It has been stored in a museum setting, where many cars around it are serious megabuck, some 7 figure cars. They forbid me to take pictures of the cars, many owned by the rich and famous. It looks better than new and is all original.

I pick it up tomorrow or friday:

I'll end up with another Camaro again.

I might even try to "flip" the ZR1. It sold for market price of a used car. It looks better than showroom condition, and it has "history". Some collector might get interested.

Beautiful ZR1! I'd have bought one instead of my GTR if it had a back seat

You probably don't remember me, but I'm still a mod at LS2.com. Come back, man...we miss ya
