BEST CAI - why??
Most of you know by now my baby is winterised and sleeping till next May. This gives me lots of time to think about my next mods.
Here are the list 1. Radar detector Bracket 2. CAI- this I NEED your help with 3. Lambo doors (yes... like like them!!) 4. New floor mats Im pretty much confirmed all the above brands that I want but I am having a terrible time deciding on the CAI cos I just dont know enough about them. My Winter car (Magnum RT 5.7ltr Hemi) has the K&N in it and wow I love it. What I am looking for is something that doesnt scream during normal load but scares the living daylights out of people living in the next province , when I step on it. What would you go for? Please help. I only have 5 months to decide LOL!! Any that you would avoid at all costs etc. THANK YOU!

CAI won't scream very loud. It's exhaust cutouts/diverters that you need...

For me I prefer the long intakes or as known as True air intake such as :
Fastlane pipeline : Or SLP Blackwing , and it got the better price than the above : And If you ask me Why would I choose those two , because they deliver the coldest air ever and because they are behind the fog light so if you remove the light you would make the best source for air (I used to remove my GTO headlight with K&N CAI:-) ) . I know it sounds strange but believe me it make a difference .

You get the best performance from the Vararam unit IMO.

just look though all the diferent threads about intakes. you really have to look at all of them and make your own choice on what would be best for what you want to do with the car down the road. i have the roto-fab and i really like it. its a great intake and you cant go wrong with it i feel.

CAI Inc. is the way to go. The pipe is coated in ceramic inside and the enclosed filter is easy to get to. Plus, you can't argue with the aesthetics.

I'd be too afraid to run that setup. I've had to drive through some pretty deep water (had no choice) trying to make it home from work. I wouldn't want an air filter sitting that low.
